Not only. With Willy Toledo

Politics is all that that concerns the coexistence: how do we organize ourselves to live together and, if possible, in peace. In this sense, we all are political beings, we all have the right and the responsibility of taking part in the decision of how living in community. The most human construction of a society is a task of all the citizens without exception.

We think that our partner Guillermo Toledo has been an object of an aggressive and disproportionate reaction in the mass media for exercising the civil right to take part publicly of the political debate. Right that has to prevail one agrees with the opinions that express themselves. To ours to seem, the reaction against the declarations of Guillermo Toledo has turned, in many cases, into an authentic campaign against his person. For this motive, we express our firmest support to him.

We believe that from a considerable part of the mass media a permanent rejection message exists to the political implication of the citizens who are employed at the world of the culture. Much especially of the actors, from his participation in the mobilizations against the war of 2003. The movies, the theater, any creative work, thinks about how, between other things, to reflect on the human conflicts, in the personal and social relations. The culture is, largely, learning of the coexistence. There is a logic, therefore, in the frequent political implication of the citizens who are employed at this field. Implication that has neither major validity, nor minor, that that of any citizen, it is which is his profession.

We do a call to all - and to us, the first - to try to recover a language that serves to us to understand each other, a language deprived of violence, which is sustained in the facts and not in the personal judgments, a language rigorous and based on the good faith, which serves to work together, although it is from different ideas, for a better world.
